Heather Bowling Lanes is a New Glasgow bowling facility and the "go to" bowling destination for Pictou County, Nova Scotia residents. Founded in 1968 by Bill Sobey, the center was named after Bill's daughter Heather. Originally located on the Westside of New Glasgow as a 16 lane centre, the facility expanded to a 20 lane centre when it moved to its current location in 1993. At one time, Bill and his family owned 4 bowling alleys under the Heather Lanes name (New Glasgow, Glace Bay, Sydney, and Sackville) but now only the New Glasgow location remains.
